This is the first drone I've flown or owned. It took me two days to get the courage to fly it. It's so easy I can't wait for the battery to charge to fly again. I order more batteries after one day of flying. It's fun and the images are pretty good. I'm looking forward to taking it on my bike and getting shots I can't get with my camera. Also, looking forward to the new models coming out soon!

This drone was purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. I purchased extra batteries with the drone so I paid considerably more than the base price. I will start out by saying that this is my husband's first drone, however, he is a long time gamer and doesn't struggle with technology too hard. We are local to SLC area and so is EXO so my assumption was that if we ran into a problem we would receive better customer service than if we purchased a popular Japanese drone through a very well known company. I have since learned otherwise. Due to a surgical procedure that happened right around Christmas followed by months of poor flying weather in our area my husband was unable to spend much time getting his drone set up. Now it is April and the weather is finally cooperating, however, even following all instructions included with the drone he could not get the drone to sync. I reached out to customer service looking for a phone number. I was advised that the company "does not have a phone number" to contact for customer service support but that any assistance would have to be done through chat on their website or via email. This is simply not satisfactory and should be remedied. I asked if there was a local vendor for the product where he could go speak with someone. I was advised that this was not possible either. I received nothing that helped with the situation at all from EXO. Instead my husband went to a hobby store in West Valley City and spoke to a guy working there who was familiar with this product enough that he could advise my husband to NOT FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS because they are backward. He assisted my husband in getting the drone to sync up and now it works fine.

Performance review: The carrying case for the drone is very nice. The controller for the Ranger X7 is cheap plastic and pretty disappointing. Around 100 ft the video connection freezes and so line of sight must be maintained to not lose the drone. The photos are clear. The video is decent. The drone performs well enough to be a beginner drone until the owner feels confident enough to spend some real money on the hobby. Even though EXO does have higher performance drones in its lineup we will not purchase another from this company. If customer service is something that simply won't be provided regardless of company I'd rather go with the higher grade Japanese drone.

I’ve owned the EXO X7 Ranger drone before the Plus dropped and I can safely say it has yet to disappoint me. Whenever I have someone over who has new interest in drone flying the X7 Ranger is the PERFECT go to. Has minimalist technology built-in but has the intermediate levels of skill needed for some components. I loved this drone before getting it and love it even more with all the necessary perks, being someone who knows all the little technicalities of higher spec drones. The camera quality is more than enough for the price, learn your drone handling skills before your photography skills on these toys people!

I bought this for my husband as a gift, and he absolutely LOVES it. Easy to calibrate and control. It has a beginners mode, so you don't get too wild until you're ready. I would definitely recommend this one!!

Super easy very good quality

I have flown many different drones, but I have never flown a drone quite like this. I got this as a surprise and I have enjoyed it very much. The sport mode is quite fun to play around with, and the camera mode is enjoyable to take photos. Great fun! I got almost 25 mins flight time and was very much impressed! Love it!!!
