Amazing Flight Time

Truly love this new Blackhawk Pro Drone. Especially the long flight time for each battery. This gives you plenty of time to practice and experiment with all the flight patterns.

This is my first drone. I haven’t learned how to use all the options. It’s responsive and built tough. The camera is amazing and customer support has been helpful. One of my battery’s was defective and they sent a new one free of charge.

Exo Drones and The Blackhawk

I have never owned a drone but have been interested in them for some time. Then I saw the slick marketing video for Exo Drones and was kind of hooked. After comparing the 3 models I pulled the trigger and ordered the Blackhawk. My intention was to pay using Pay Pals credit but I mistakenly submitted the order the standard way. Within minutes I sent several messages to Exo explaining what happened and asked them to stop my order so I could go back and order it again thru PayPal.... unfortunately I did not hear back from Exo until a few days later and they told me that the order was already executed and too late to stop. That was disappointing but not the end of the world. A few days later my Black Hawk drone arrived. Because of my busy schedule it was a week or so before I had a chance to take it out of the box and work with it. The Drone itself looked pretty cool and felt very solid. I wish the case that it came with was big enough to hold the controller and charger. The controller was made of plastic but as long as it did the job that's not really a worry of mine. After watching the intro tutorial and reading the well written manual I went down to the park to give it try....with everything fully charged I attempted my first flight. Unfortunately I had issues with the USB disconnected error message. It kept popping up. Telling me my phone was not connected to the controller ...Eventually I was able to get everything set up and ready for flight. The Blackhawk actually was very easy to fly and the video feed was very sharp....until I got the USB disconnected error message in mid flight and would lose the video feed. This happened several times over the course of my first day with the Blackhawk and it was very discouraging. I used the pilot help feature on the app and the pilot I spoke to said this is a common problem and they suggested that I try a different phone or a different cable. Well trying another phone was not really a convenient option...and since I have an Android phone finding a cable with a micro usb on one end and a usb C on the other end was not a quick fix.... I went back to the manual and it said if I was having this issue that I should look at the connection tutorial video for Android phones. Unfortunately that tutorial was nowhere to be found and none of the pilots I asked knew anything about it. So I sent an email to EXO drones through the support section of the app. In fact over the course of several days I sent several emails asking for help. With no reply I delved deeper into EXO's web page and learned they had an accident replacement insurance program.... this was something I was interested in so I wrote to them asking someone for more information. Again no response. I asked one of the pilots about this and he told me that I needed to order it within a day or two of receiving the Drone or else they would not sell it to me. So that was no longer an option. Eventually I played around with the Drone and the settings on my phone and was able to get the Black Hawk to fly pretty consistently without the USB disconnect message. Let me say I love this drone....it is easy to fly, takes great video, has some fun auto features and handles itself well in breezy conditions... I did order a third battery and a second controller just to have as a backup and they were delivered very quickly. I really can't compare this drone to any other since I've never owned another but I am very happy with this purchase as far as the Drone is concerned. My big concern is the lack of response from the company. I have to this day never received a response from any of my email questions only responses from some of the pilots. And when I questioned the pilots about the lack of response from the company they had no answer for me. And this is from a company that brags about their customer service. Again I love the Blackhawk drone and would happily buy another but only if I felt better about the customer service.
